The newspaper "Sport" stressed that the Catalan
club Barcelona still looking to strengthen the goalkeeping team to compensate
for the departure of Victor Valdes, who ended his contract this season, and the
lack of intent to retain Jose Manuel Pinto.
It pointed out that Andoni Zubizarreta Barca sporting
director succeeded in ending the first deal annexation of the young German
goalkeeper Marc Andre ter Stegn of Borussia Monchengladbach, but the Barca administration
is considering contracting with goalkeeper again.
It added that Thibault Courtois Belgium and Atletico Madrid goalkeeper
on loan from Chelsea, the club entered the circle of interests aggressively to
sign him during the next summer transfer window.
The "Sport" said that the chances of return Courtois
to Chelsea looks very weak, with Jose Mourinho hint to place him on the bench,
as he did with Iker Casillas, the Portuguese coach when he was artistic
director for Real Madrid last season.
Interestingly, though, the management of Chelsea put the Belgian
youngster goalkeeper in trouble, where asking him to bring attractive financial
offer value of 30 million euros, in addition to the renewal of his contract
with the London club until 2019, and this is a huge sum for the very treasury
Atletico Madrid, who intends to renew the Loan Courtois compared to 15 million
euros, but Barcelona officials will not hesitate to pay that amount to secure
the future of the goalkeeper of the team.
