The Emergence of Barcelona Club




On 22 October 1899, Joan Gamper put an advertisement in Los Deportes declaring his wish to form football club; though number of old players responded  to the announcement, and they held a meeting in Jamenacio Soleil on November 29 of the same year, in the presence of eleven  player are: Walter Wild(the first director of the club), Luis Dosso, Bartimo Tiradas, Otto Konzzl, Otto Maier, Enric Ducal, Pere Cabot, Carles Gul, Josep Lopit, John Parsons and William Parsons, who laid the foundation stone for the club, and so FC Barcelona football was born.
It was a successful beginning of Barcelona in the local and national cups; Barcelona participated in Catalonia Champions and Copa Del Rey. In 1902, the club won its first award, the Makaya Cup, and participated in the first sessions of the Copa Del Rey, and lost the lead to 1-2 in front of Bzakaya Club in the final. Gamper took club president in 1908, and the club was in financial distress after its failure to achieve any new Tournament since its win the Catalonia Champion in 1905, Gamper has assumed presidency of the club in five separate occasions between 1908 and 1925, of his most important achievement is to secure the stadium special club, which make it achieves a stable income for the first time in its history.  
On March 14, 1909, the team moved to Camp Stadium Dell Andostraa, a large stadium can accommodate eight thousand people. During the period from 1910 to 1914 Barcelona participated in the Cup-au-Prince, which included the best teams of Languedoc provinces, Midi, Aquitaine (south of France), the Basque Country and Catalonia, and that tournament was best open competitions. during the same period, the club changed his official language from Castilian into Catalan and his popularity took gradually increasing to be impossible to symbolize an important role in Catalan identity, it is clearly illustrated by the fans, as many of them make promoting the club which was Catalan club represents their nationality and themselves, though they did not encourage it because of the distinguished way of the play at all.  

Gamper’s Achievements was his  increase the number of members of the club, which has had several positive effects, he has launched a campaign to recruit more members, and by 1922, the club enabled to attract more than 20,000 members, so it could buy a new stadium, and soon was done, which opened in the same year, and headquarters was moved to it, and the Stadium was Lays Kurz accommodate twenty-two thousand spectators, it had been expanded later until it reached its capacity to 60,000 spectators. Jack Greenwell appointed successor to Juan Gamper, was the first full-time coach, and the club's fortunes began to improve on the pitch. During the Gamper era, Barcelona won one title in the Champions League Catalonia, and six in the Spanish King's Cup, four in the Cup Prince, so that stage considered as a "golden age" for the club.
