Gerard Pique Biography

Gerard Pique Bernabeu (in Spanish: Gerard Piqué i Bernabeu) (was born on February 2, 1987), a football player playing currently in the Spanish club Barcelona as a defender, and playing with the Spanish national team in the same position.

Pique grew up in the ranks of youth club of FC Barcelona, In 2004 he moved to Manchester United, and was loaned in 2006 to Real Zaragoza for one year, before returning in 2008 to

Barcelona. In his first season with Barcelona won all the tournaments in which they participated with his club and its number 6 Championships, and he is one of four players to have won the Champions League two years in a row with different teams, with each of Marcel Desailly, Paulo Sousa and Samuel Eto'o.

His first game was with the Spanish national team in the February 11, 2009, and contributed the national team to win the World Cup Soccer 2010, and Euro 2008, and 2012.

Playing Career

He was Born in Barcelona in Spain, and began his career in the youth teams at FC Barcelona, but before he signed his first professional contract with the club, he decided to join Manchester United.

Pique played  his first game with Manchester United in October 2004, as a substitute in the late time of  John O'Shea in the League Cup English professional .. , then he played for the first time on March 29, a full match in 2006 against West Ham United, in the Premier League at Old Trafford, as a right-back.
