The Catalan giant and Samba team star receives great support
from the club and a group of other players after his reaction to being smart on
the racist insult.
Daniel Alves received support from his club Barcelona and a set
of other players after his reaction to being smart for racist insult throwing a
banana to him during his direction of a corner kick in a match his team's 3-2 wins
over Villarreal in the Primera Liga.
Alves caught a banana thrown in front of him on the pitch
and eat a piece of it before he completes the play and executes a corner kick.
And Neymar fellow of Alves in Barcelona and Brazil published
through his account on Twitter a picture of him holding a banana and written on
it, "We are all monkeys and we all either, Say no to racism" and
published several other prominent players’ photo of them with bananas like
Brazilian Roberto Carlos left-back former Real Madrid.
Barcelona earlier expressed "full support" for Alves
and touched "the humiliation suffered by the player for a group of
fans."
And Barcelona thanks Villarreal to instant condemnation
because of this act.
Barcelona said "Barcelona accept that the perpetrator
of such abuse is not linked to Villarreal we appreciate the great support
provided by the club for our player."
And European football plagued in recent years by a series of
incidents of racism and subjected to sharp criticism of officials due to his
lack of dealing decisively to stop this phenomenon.
Alves complained last year of the launch of fans to the
sound of monkeys at him during a match against Real Madrid in the semi-final of
the King's Cup and describes Spain efforts to stop this problem as being like
"a losing war."
